Welcome to the 4D Earth: Core+ project website.
This project, funded by ESA under the Earth Observation Science for Society programme, aims to advance the understanding of Earth’s deep interior by combining satellite geomagnetic observations with numerical simulations and novel data analysis techniques. Building mainly on data of ESA’s Swarm mission, the project explores the dynamics of the Earth’s core, its interaction with the mantle, and the processes driving rapid magnetic variations. We aim to deliver new insights, benchmark methodologies, and pave the way for future geomagnetic exploration. The project gathers researchers from ISTerre, DTU, IPGP and the University of Leeds. A list of the researchers involved is available under People.
You can find the latest updates on the project under News, and we give a list of Publications, the relevant Codes developed by members of the project and relevant Data products.
